About the company
Nano-Lit Technologies: a circadian lighting subsystem for crewed habitats The clock. Light sets the timing of the human body: cortisol, alertness, melatonin, cell repair. In orbit, a ninety-minute sunrise and sunset cycle turns that signal into noise, and crews pay for it in sleep, performance and recovery. Habitat lighting is still specified as a fixture, not as a health system. The proof. We have spent thirteen years on this problem on Earth. Our light engine combines at least three LED sources, including quantum dot LEDs, under network control, so light can follow a programmed daily rhythm with tight wavelength control. It is deployed today in healthcare environments and offices. It has not flown. The next step. Space qualification. We are scoping radiation, thermal-vacuum and vibration testing with partners, and working out the manufacturing route for a flight-ready unit. We claim no flight heritage. We are looking for the partners who take us there. The ask. At Bremen we want to meet: Habitat and cabin integrators and primes who need lighting designed around crew health Qualification and test houses for photonics and optoelectronics Manufacturers with space-grade electronics assembly Habitat lighting is still an open subsystem category in at least one commercial station programme. A first conversation costs little. We’ll share what we know about crew circadian requirements and what we still need to test.
